Abstract:

This study focuses on the personal beliefs and perceptions of Generation Z regarding superstitions related to death. Using a qualitative approach, the researcher examined Gen Z’s knowledge of death-related superstitions and how these beliefs influence the attitudes and behaviors of the younger generation. The findings show that while many Gen Z individuals are aware of traditional superstitions, their adherence to these beliefs varies. Factors such as personal experience, cultural upbringing, and exposure to scientific knowledge shape their perspectives. The study highlights that despite modernization and the influence of Western culture, today’s youth continue to carry traditional beliefs inherited from their ancestors, emphasizing the enduring significance of superstitions in Filipino society.
