Focus and Scope

International Journal of Research Studies in Computing (IJRSC) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research and innovation in computer science, information technology, computing systems, and related engineering disciplines. The journal provides a platform for researchers, scholars, and practitioners to disseminate theoretically grounded, methodologically rigorous, and practically relevant research addressing contemporary challenges and emerging developments in computing and digital technologies. IJRSC adopts an interdisciplinary approach, welcoming contributions from diverse theoretical, methodological, and technological perspectives. The journal publishes original research involving computational models, algorithm development, experimental investigations, system design and evaluation, simulations, empirical studies, case studies, quantitative and qualitative research, mixed-methods investigations, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and conceptual or methodological contributions.

Aims and Objectives

IJRSC aims to advance computing knowledge by promoting scholarly research, technological innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The journal encourages studies that contribute to the theoretical foundations of computing, the development and evaluation of computational methods, and the design, implementation, and responsible application of emerging technologies. Particular emphasis is placed on research that addresses real-world computational challenges, advances methodological and technological innovation, improves the efficiency, reliability, security, and sustainability of computing systems, and examines the broader implications of digital transformation for individuals, organizations, industries, and society. The journal welcomes contributions from both emerging and established researchers and seeks to facilitate international scholarly exchange across academic, professional, and technological communities.

Emerging Research and Interdisciplinary Innovation

Recognizing the rapid evolution of computing technologies, IJRSC encourages research exploring emerging computational paradigms, innovative system architectures, and novel applications of digital technologies across disciplines. The journal particularly values studies that go beyond the routine application of existing technologies by offering theoretical insights, methodological advancements, innovative computational solutions, or rigorous evaluations of technological systems. Research addressing the opportunities, challenges, limitations, and ethical implications of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies is also welcomed, especially when supported by sound theoretical reasoning and empirical evidence.

Publication Policy: Themed Special Issues Only

IJRSC currently accepts submissions exclusively through organized, themed special issues. Individual or unsolicited manuscript submissions are not accepted. Each proposed special issue should comprise 8 to 12 scholarly papers addressing a clearly defined and coherent research theme within the journal’s scope. Special issues may focus on established or emerging areas of computing, interdisciplinary technological research, innovative computational methodologies, or contemporary challenges associated with digital transformation and technological development. Proposals may be organized by academic institutions, research groups, professional associations, conference organizers, or collaborating scholars. Each proposal should identify a coherent research theme, its scholarly significance, and a guest editor or editorial team responsible for coordinating the collection. All manuscripts included in an approved special issue remain subject to editorial evaluation, peer review, and the journal’s publication standards. Approval of a special-issue proposal does not guarantee acceptance of individual manuscripts.

Researchers interested in proposing a themed special issue are invited to contact the editorial office at ijr.edu@gmail.com.

IJRSC remains committed to promoting rigorous computing research, interdisciplinary technological innovation, and meaningful international collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and institutions.
