Abstract:
This study examined the context of school networking in Suyo District, Suyo, Ilocos Sur, with particular focus on networking practices, leadership skills of school administrators, challenges encountered, and strategies employed to address these challenges. A basic descriptive qualitative research design was utilized. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews with six purposively selected school administrators and were analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings revealed that schools have established strong internal, government and civic, and community-based networks that provide essential support for school programs and initiatives. School administrators demonstrated transformational leadership skills characterized by modeling, effective communication, appreciation, delegation, adaptability, collaboration, and transparency, which facilitated the development and sustainability of school partnerships. Despite these strengths, challenges such as stakeholder resistance, differing perspectives, time constraints, and limitations in resource management were encountered. These challenges were addressed through strategic communication, collaborative problem-solving, and relationship-building practices. The study concludes that effective leadership and well-established networking systems significantly contribute to school improvement and organizational effectiveness. It is recommended that continuous leadership development programs and institutional support be strengthened to enhance the sustainability of school networking initiatives.
