Abstract:

This study employed a quantitative research design using a descriptive–correlational approach to examine the organizational health of public elementary schools in Bambang I District during the academic year 2025–2026 and its relationship with teachers’ workplace relationships. A total of 104 public elementary school teachers served as respondents. Data were collected through a validated and reliable research questionnaire and analyzed using appropriate descriptive and inferential statistical tools. The study assessed organizational health in terms of morale, appraisal and recognition, curriculum integration, discipline policy, work demands, goal congruence, professional growth, participative decision-making, professional interaction, role clarity, student orientation, and supportive leadership. Workplace relationships were examined with respect to collaboration and teamwork, co-worker relationships, supervisor–subordinate relationships, mentoring relationships, and workplace social networks. Results revealed that the overall level of organizational health was high (𝑥̄ = 3.29), indicating favorable school conditions, with discipline policy and student orientation rated highest, while goal congruence and professional growth obtained the lowest mean. Workplace relationships were likewise rated high (𝑥̄ = 3.33), reflecting generally positive and supportive professional interactions, particularly in co-worker relationships and collaboration. Correlation analysis showed a weak but statistically significant relationship between organizational health and workplace relationships (ρ = 0.216, p = 0.027). Notably, leadership and decision-making demonstrated a significant positive relationship with workplace relationships, underscoring the importance of inclusive and supportive leadership. Based on the findings, a management intervention program was developed to address identified gaps, particularly in feedback mechanisms, professional growth, mentoring, recognition, collaboration, and participatory decision-making. The study concludes that strengthening leadership practices and targeted professional development initiatives can further enhance organizational health and workplace relationships in public elementary schools.
