Abstract:
As the world’s largest manufacturing country, the green transformation of China’s manufacturing industry is of crucial significance to global environmental protection and economic development. With the Chinese government vigorously promoting green development and advancing the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, enhancing the green competitive advantage of manufacturing enterprises has become an urgent practical need. This study aimed to explore green innovation, environmental dynamics, and organizational resilience among manufacturing enterprises in China, to put forward a framework for enhancing green competitive advantage. It assessed green innovation in terms of product, process, and management innovation; described environmental dynamics through market, technology, and policy and regulation factors; determined organizational resilience via adaptability, recovery capability, and situation awareness; tested the significant relationships among the three; and developed a framework to improve enterprises’ green competitive advantage. Using questionnaires, data were gathered from 400 employees of five manufacturing enterprises in Fujian Province to examine the synergistic role of these factors in advancing green transformation and sustainable development. The study analyzed the internal relationships between green innovation, environmental dynamics, organizational resilience, and green competitive advantage, providing a theoretical basis for constructing a framework to enhance the latter. Results show respondents positively recognized green innovation implementation effects, moderately agreed on environmental dynamics and resilience performance, and confirmed a highly significant relationship among all three. Finally, a framework to improve manufacturing enterprises’ green competitive advantage was developed, contributing to their green transformation and sustainable development.
