Abstract:
Recognizing the critical role of employee commitment in the face of high turnover and increased competition. The study investigates the impact of organizational culture, responsible leadership, and organizational commitment on decision-making and employee treatment within the context of the casual dining restaurant industry in the Ilocos Region, Philippines. Utilizing a descriptive correlational design, the research analyzed data from 257 employees across 58 DOT-accredited restaurants. Findings were analyzed using statistical methods, and a strategic plan was developed to enhance employee retention based on the study’s outcomes. The study therefore concludes that successful restaurant operations hinge on responsible leadership and a strong organizational culture characterized by innovation, aggression, outcome-focus, stability, a people-centric approach, and teamwork, while prioritizing social orientation. It was also found that significant variations in perceptions of organizational culture, responsible leadership, and workplace environment among demographic groups, including marital status, educational attainment, work hours, and managerial roles, emphasizing the critical influence of these factors on employee experiences. The researcher recommends a further exploration of the topic to discover other related factors to organizational culture, responsible leadership, and organizational commitment, specifically within the context of casual dining restaurants in the Ilocos Region.
