Abstract:
Recognizing the increasing demand for affordable and unique nutritional food, as well as the growing interest in small-scale poultry farming, this feasibility study explores the potential of establishing a sustainable quail egg production venture in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. The primary objective of the study is to determine the feasibility and viability of establishing a quail egg production in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. This study employed a descriptive research design. It involved direct interaction with respondents, gathering data through survey questionnaires, and reviewing existing studies, reports, and articles on quail egg production. The survey results revealed strong market potential, with 99% of respondents showing interest and a willingness to purchase local quail eggs. The project is located in San Miguel, Mapaya, San Jose, and Occidental Mindoro. The initial project cost is PHP 173,893.00. The financial projection indicates profitability from the first year of operation, with a 68% projected return on investment and 133% in the second year, with the return increasing for the next few years. The study concludes that the production and marketing of quail eggs in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, is viable and holds significant potential. The proposed project is expected to contribute to the economy by creating job opportunities, supporting local farmers, increasing local government collections, and giving healthy food options to consumers. Based on the findings, recommendations include proceeding with the project due to its positive feasibility assessment, developing a robust marketing strategy, implementing training programs, establishing a system for regular monitoring and evaluation of the production processes, and incorporating sustainable farming practices.
