Abstract:

This study examined the relationship between organizational culture and teacher self-efficacy among public elementary school teachers in Western Kayapa District during the academic year 2024–2025. A quantitative approach using the descriptive-correlational method was employed to determine the extent to which organizational culture dimensions—power culture, task culture, people culture, and role culture—relate to the components of teacher self-efficacy, namely student engagement, instructional strategies, and classroom management. A total of 76 teachers were selected through stratified and simple random sampling techniques. Data were collected using validated and reliable survey instruments. Descriptive statistics, specifically the mean, were used to determine the overall perceptions of the respondents, while the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient (Pearson r) was applied to analyze the relationship between the variables. The hypothesis was tested at a 0.05 level of significance. Findings revealed that teachers rated their school’s organizational culture positively (grand mean = 3.88), with Role Culture scoring the highest. Teacher self-efficacy was also rated high (grand mean = 3.52), particularly in instructional strategies. A very strong and statistically significant correlation (r = 0.998, p < 0.05) was found between organizational culture and teacher self-efficacy, with Task Culture showing the strongest link. Based on these findings, a training program titled “Bridging Culture and Confidence: A Capacity-Building Seminar for Teacher Empowerment in Kayapa West” was developed. The study concludes that a strong and supportive organizational culture enhances teacher confidence and effectiveness. It recommends sustained professional development and broader application of the research in other contexts.
