Abstract:
This descriptive study aimed to determine the correlation between teaching effectiveness and the academic performance of BS Cooperative students at Nueva Vizcaya State University–Bambang Campus. A total of 58 respondents were selected through a simple random sampling technique from a population of 198 students, representing 29.29% of the total cohort. Data on teaching effectiveness, academic performance, and relevant demographic information were gathered through validated questionnaires and institutional documents. Quantitative data were analyzed using appropriate statistical tools, with hypotheses tested at a 0.05 level of significance. Findings revealed that the teaching effectiveness of faculty members in the BS Cooperative Department was rated as very satisfactory, while the academic performance of the respondents was found to be satisfactory. Statistical analysis showed no significant differences in students’ evaluations of teaching effectiveness when grouped according to their profile variables. Additionally, no significant correlation was found between teaching effectiveness and students’ academic performance. The findings of this study will serve as a valuable reference in developing instructional materials and pedagogical strategies aimed at further enhancing the academic outcomes of BS Cooperative students.
