Abstract:
This study emphasized the potential use of Wattpad in teaching Philippine Literature. The study employs descriptive survey- quantitative research. Purposive sampling was being used to select the thirty-eight students’ respondents taking Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Filipino from all levels of Saint Louise de Marillac College of Sorsogon, Higher Education Department. Survey checklist was used to collect the data needed in the study and being evaluated, analyzed and interpreted using ranking. From the collected data, the fin dings of the study stated that using Wattpad has potential in teaching Philippine Literature bases for writing stories and or literary composition of the students. Based from the results and conclusions of the study the following are the recommendations; Wattpad is helpful in teaching Philippine literature, focus on the positive effects on the use of Wattpad, and consider the possible negative effects of using Wattpad to the students.
