Abstract:
This study focused on the experiences of the students with deficiencies in an online-classes. Using Descriptive Qualitative Research Design and Purposive Sampling Technique, the students took Filipino courses in the Second Semester of the School Year 2020-2021 with deficiencies such as dropped, incomplete, and 4.0 were identified as the respondents in this study. Furthermore, in securing the privacy of the respondent’s identity and their responses, consent letter and code for their names were used. On the other hand, after conducting in-depth interview, the thematic analysis was used to determine the theme of the responses of the respondents based on the guide interview drawn by the researcher. Since the students were allowed to comply their deficiencies personally, the data gathered in this study was face to face following the health protocols as mandated by the Inter-Agency Task Force (aatf.doh.gov.ph). Meanwhile, the findings of this study, were observed: 1. most of them do not have their own gadgets to be used in an online classes; 2. very slow internet connections; 3. do not have enough load for the internet connectivity; 4. joining online classes while working; 5. studying while working in a very far places; 6. staying in a far flung areas; 7. assuming attending online classes by staying in the google classroom or zoom but they are not watching and/or listening to the discussions; 8. submitting outputs even if they do not know what and when to submit; 9. copying output from the classmates; and lastly, 10. trying to join online classes because they believed that there is no strict policies kin an online classes.
