This study aimed to determine the “Level of Performance of Grade 8 students in Filipino using the Learning Activity Sheet and Module” for SY 2021-2022. Quantitative and descriptive analysis research design were used to gather the data. T-test for two (2) independent means was also used to measure the significant difference in the performance of the students who answered the LAS and Module as a tool in the data gathering. Purposive sampling is used to determine the number of respondents in this study. The respondents were of fifty (50) Grade 8 students from the two sections of the STE class at Gubat National High School. 25 students from 1st group of Grade 8 answered the module, while 25 students from Grade 8 2nd group answered the LAS. The two groups were selected through the fishbowl method and toss coin determined who will be given the module or the LAS. The significant difference of the students’ performance using the two modes was determined by a teacher-made summative test, data analysis was done with the following: mean, percentage, T-test, frequency count, and ranking. The result revealed the following: the level of performance of those who used module is 89% or higher and those who answered the learning activity sheet had the performance level of 91% or very high. It has no significant difference in the use of module or learning activity sheet. This made the conclusion that the use of LAS or module did not affect the students’ performance in Filipino 8.
