Abstract:

This paper explores the grade 12 students’ perception on the use of Twitter in improving their vocabulary skills of Grade 12 students. According to the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum Senior High School- Core Subject (2013), reading and writing skills’ priority is textual and discourse for grade 12 students; which means that it is important for a grade 12 student to acquire a wide range of vocabulary to be able to understand a text and deliver spontaneous speech or presentations. This paper examines the perceptions of grade 12 students on the effectiveness of Twitter as a tool in improving vocabulary skills that are essential for them.
