This study assessed the use of an exemplary Filipino historical-biographical film viewing worksheet based on the film’s motif as a teaching method and tool to increase students’ critical thinking. It was conducted in two groups at Pandan Bay Institute, Inc., Pandan, Antique where the researcher teaches. Using a quasi-experimental design, the results of this study showed that the mean score of 26.03 of the Experimental Group that used the model worksheet in teaching was higher than the mean score of 22.86 of the Control Group that used traditional writing of reaction after watching as a sign of student understanding. The computed t-value of 2.3581 shows a significant difference for 68 degrees of freedom with the .05 level. The prediction of the relationship between the level of the student’s learning criteria in the post-test and the intervention using the model worksheet in the Experimental Group had a high performance compared to the Control Group. The use of exemplary student viewing worksheets is closely related to high student learning performance that enhances students’ critical thinking and viewing.
