Copyright Ownership and Author Rights
Authors retain the copyright of their original scholarly works published in journals under Consortia Academia. The publisher respects authors’ intellectual property rights and supports the responsible dissemination, preservation, and accessibility of scholarly research. By agreeing to publication, authors grant the relevant journal and Consortia Academia a non-exclusive right of first publication, together with permission to reproduce, publish, distribute, archive, preserve, and make the work publicly accessible through the journal’s official website and appropriate scholarly dissemination platforms. Authors retain the right to share, disseminate, and archive their published research, including through institutional repositories, personal academic websites, and professional scholarly networks, subject to the applicable publication license and any third-party rights.
Creative Commons License Selection
Consortia Academia recognizes the right of authors to select an appropriate Creative Commons license for their scholarly work. During the submission process, authors are required to select one of the Creative Commons licenses made available in the journal’s copyright and publication agreement. The Creative Commons license selected and confirmed during the publication process determines the permissions and conditions governing the reuse, redistribution, adaptation, and commercial use of the published article. Authors are encouraged to consider the implications of their selected license carefully, particularly concerning attribution, derivative works, commercial reuse, and the sharing of adapted materials. The applicable license should be clearly identified in the published article and its associated publication information. Once an article has been published under a Creative Commons license, the permissions already granted under that license generally cannot be revoked for users who comply with its terms. For further information about the available licensing options and their conditions, please consult the journal’s Open Access Policy or visit Creative Commons Licenses.
Originality and Publication Agreement
Submission of a manuscript constitutes a declaration that the work is original, has not previously been published in substantially the same form, and is not simultaneously under consideration for publication elsewhere. Prior dissemination in the form of conference abstracts, academic theses, dissertations, or preprints may be permitted, subject to appropriate disclosure, applicable copyright restrictions, and the editorial policies of the receiving journal. All listed authors must have approved the manuscript and agreed to its submission and potential publication. Authors are responsible for obtaining any necessary institutional approvals, ethical clearances, copyright permissions, and consent associated with the research and its publication. Upon acceptance, authors must confirm their agreement to the applicable publication terms, including their selected Creative Commons license and the journal’s publication requirements. Redundant publication, undisclosed simultaneous submission, plagiarism, and other forms of publication misconduct are not permitted.
Editorial Editing and Author Approval
The editorial office may undertake copyediting, language editing, formatting, and other editorial adjustments necessary to prepare accepted manuscripts for publication. Substantive changes affecting the meaning, interpretation, findings, or conclusions of a manuscript require author approval. Authors will ordinarily be given an opportunity to review publication proofs before final publication and are responsible for checking the accuracy of their work and its bibliographic information.
Copyright Permissions and Third-Party Materials
Authors are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions to reproduce copyrighted materials, including figures, tables, photographs, extended textual extracts, and other third-party content. Third-party materials are not automatically covered by the Creative Commons license selected for an article. Any separate copyright restrictions or licensing conditions must be appropriately identified in the published work. Requests for reuse beyond the permissions granted by an article’s applicable license should be directed to the relevant copyright holder.
Previously Published Articles
Articles published under earlier copyright agreements or licensing arrangements remain subject to the terms applicable at the time of publication. Changes to the publisher’s copyright or licensing policies do not automatically alter the rights associated with previously published articles. Any retrospective changes require appropriate authorization from the relevant rights holders.
Responsible Scholarly Use
Consortia Academia encourages the responsible sharing, citation, and reuse of published research. Readers and other users are expected to provide appropriate attribution, respect the applicable license conditions, and accurately represent the original authors’ findings, arguments, and conclusions. Matters involving publication ethics, corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions are addressed under the publisher’s separate Publication Ethics and Research Integrity policies.
