Abstract:
This study aims to examine the moral values embedded in the literary work Impeng Negro by Rogelio Sicat. Specifically, it identifies the moral values reflected in the plot, main character, and the lessons that may be derived from the story. The study employs a qualitative research design through Content Analysis and Thematic Analysis as the primary methods in analyzing the literature. It is also anchored on the Moralistic and Sociological Theories to better understand the relationship between morality and the social context embodied in the literary work. This study is expected to contribute to a deeper understanding of literature as a reflection of society and as a medium for conveying significant lessons that may help shape the moral consciousness of readers.
