Abstract:

This study employed a descriptive-correlational research design to identify factors influencing the performance of the Regional Science High School for Region I in Mathematical Investigation and Modeling. It examined learners, teachers, and school profiles as possible predictors of students’ performance. Data were gathered using validated and reliable questionnaires, which obtained an overall validity mean of 3.67 and a Pearson’s r= 0.745432083, indicating perfect reliability. Results showed that the strongest correlation was the use of instructional materials (r = 0.562), suggesting that effective material use improves student performance. Library resources (r = 0.387), ICT (r = 0.397), and administrative support (r = 0.300) also significantly influenced performance. The study recommends that DepEd and school administrators ensure adequate, high-quality instructional materials aligned with the K–12 curriculum, promote continuous professional development, allocate resources effectively, and conduct further studies on technology and teacher-related factors in mathematics education.
